Simple Apple Cake

Summer is over, and we’re getting closer to winter day-by-day beyond recovery. This week I had to turn my heating on!

Tragedy!

To tackle this, I’ve decided to bake an apple cake. There’s something magical about it when the scent of the cinnamon, apple and slowly caramelising sugar fills the warm air. Just sit back and enjoy the warm cake with a cuppa tea and a good book.

I hope you’ll like the cake I’ve made for this occasion.  If you don’t have the chance to get a slice of it today, here’s the recipe to make it for yourself.

Chocolate Sponge Cake with Raspberry and Ganache

Kossuth Kifli

15 March is the anniversary of the  Hungarian Revolution of  1848 outbreak. Kossuth was one of the most influential lawyer, journalist, politician of his time. Also a devoted freedom fighter. Apparently this cake was his favourite. Let’s remember for all who fought for freedom at any time throughout the history with this cake!
