As I promised, I continue to post what I’ve made out of my successful PYO trip harvest. This is a relatively easy to make strawberry conserve. If you don’t like it sweet you can always use pectin instead of jam sugar.

Rhubarb and Strawberry Crumble

Last evening after my successful PYO trip my friends’ visited me. I needed something simple and quick summery dessert. The sharper taste of rhubarb and the strawberry’s sweetness nicely complement each other in this dish.

PYO or Pick Your Own. This is one of the cheapest way to buy fresh and quality fruits and vegetables. Although it takes  a bit of effort as you have to harvest your own veggies and fruits, but the taste and the best pick is almost always guaranteed.
