Kabi’s cheesy scones

It’s not the quickest to make but it lasts for days. The recipe makes around 100 scones. It’s a bit different from the usual British style scones as it’s savoury and doesn’t go well with jam. But great as a party finger food.

Braided Challah [Fonott Kalács]

Kalács or challah reminds me for my childhood. I used to eat this type of bread for breakfast spread with jam or honey. This version is not so sweet as we had it at home, but just as good. I’ve found this recipe on Youtube where also explains a simple braiding technique for it.

Kossuth Kifli

15 March is the anniversary of the  Hungarian Revolution of  1848 outbreak. Kossuth was one of the most influential lawyer, journalist, politician of his time. Also a devoted freedom fighter. Apparently this cake was his favourite. Let’s remember for all who fought for freedom at any time throughout the history with this cake!
